Welcome to the NHSScotland National Sexual Health System web site
Following a review of the NHSScotland National eHealth Strategy, the eHealth Programme Board has decided to accelerate the acquisition of an information system to support Sexual Health services.
Delivering eHealth, the refreshed national eHealth strategy, is founded on the need for greater consistency and convergence of IT applications and infrastructure. Where there are gaps identified, these should be addressed through national action. The need for a Sexual Health system is one such gap identified.
The Scottish Sexual Health Strategy highlights the need for change in services, and backs this with additional funding. The need for information to underpin enhanced services is also acknowledged.
